2010 Sally’s Paddock – Neill has described this vintage as one of his favourite vintages. It has a lovely delicate floral, specifically orange blossom, bouquet with hints of vanilla bean and cinnamon. After a while, these restrained aromas open up and give way to earthy cigar box characters that leave a distinctly European impression. Typical spice, black cherries and wild berry fruits are coupled with supple savoury tannins, which reveal a very well balanced, intense wine with lovely oak integration and a delicious lingering finish.
2020 Sally’s Paddock – Fresh dark berry fruit aroma, with hints of new wood and nutmeg and spice characters from the wild yeast fermentation. Soft and flavourful on the front palate merging into sweet fruit and wood flavours beautifully married and seamlessly integrated. Soft spice flavours, a lifted acid finish and soft tannins will ensure longevity. Reminiscent of the 1980 Sally’s Paddock.
